Trip to Utah to see Grandma Great

We drove to Utah this past weekend to see my grandmother, who the kids call grandma great. She is 82 and always wants to see the kids, so we took a trip to let her see them. The kids had a great time and wore my poor grandmother out. She slept great at night while we were there. While we were there we stayed with my aunt Sharon who took great care of us and played grandma to the kids. Thanks Sharon for letting us bombard your house. We had a great time and the kids were even great on the long car ride.

While we were there Utah was having a very cold weekend I don't think it go above 41 the whole time we were there and they even got there first snow of the season (in early October, Crazy). That was pretty cold for a family from Arizona, it actually made me appreciate the sun ( I am a wimp in the cold, just ask my husband). The kids weren't even bothered by the weather and were so excited to see snow they had to play in it even before breakfast. They had a great time and came in like icicles but didn't seem to care. Notice there are no pictures of me in the snow. I enjoyed watching the kids through the front windows of the heated house. (I told you I was a wimp). We had a great time and made lots of memories with Grandma Great.

Happy Belated Birthday to Evan! I can't beleive you are 6 little man. You are so big, I remember when he was just a little infant like it was yesterday. Makes me realize how important it is to take tons of pictures and write down tons of memories when my baby is born!

I'm glad you guys had fun in Utah! Looks insanely cold. We had some cold weather too in Oregon it was 40 for a high but not the whole time and the sun was out most of the time thank goodness. But we did get to see some snow falling too!

We are so jealous that you got to play in the snow! Wish we could have spent more time with you but we are glad we got to share our free continental breakfast with you :)

I can't believe our babies are growing up so fast...what lucky moms we are though!

I love that you call her Grandma Great. That was a "Great" idea. We talked for a long time with my grandma trying to come up with a name she would like. I am going to have to suggest that one. It sounds like you had a good time. I know how you feel about not wanting to be in the cold. I am good for the first 1/2 hour or so and then I am done!
